About half across racial/ethnic groups approve, and approval is much higher among younger Californians. With the controlling party in Congress hanging in the balance, 51 percent of likely voters say they are extremely or very enthusiastic about voting for Congress this year; another 29 percent are somewhat enthusiastic while 19 percent are either not too or not at all enthusiastic. In October 2018 before the last midterm election, a similar 53 percent of likely voters were extremely or very enthusiastic about voting for Congress (25% extremely, 28% very, 28% somewhat, 10% not too, 8% not at all). Today, Democrats and Republicans have about equal levels of enthusiasm, while independents are much less likely to be extremely or very enthusiastic. Half or more across regions are at least very enthusiastic, with the exceptions of likely voters in Los Angeles (44%) and the San Francisco Bay Area (43%).

Around the world and here at home, financial services are slowly moving toward open banking and open finance. A more decentralized and neutral consumer financial market structure has the potential to reshape how companies compete in the sphere. Consumers can submit complaints about overdraft and depositor fees, as well as about other financial products or services, by visiting the CFPB’s website or by calling 411-CFPB .

Satisfaction was higher in our February survey when 53 percent of adults and 48 percent of likely voters were satisfied with democracy in America. Today, half of Democrats and about four in ten independents are satisfied, compared to about one in five Republicans. Across regions, half of residents in the San Francisco Bay Area (52%) and the Inland Empire (50%) are satisfied, compared to fewer elsewhere.
Stripe is working to solve these rather mundane and boring challenges, almost always with an application programming interface that simplifies complex processes into a few clicks. When we look across the Intuit QuickBooks platform and the overall fintech ecosystem, we see a variety of innovations fueled by AI and data science that are helping small businesses succeed. By efficiently embedding and connecting financial services like banking, payments, and lending to help small businesses, we can reinvent how SMBs get paid and enable greater access to the vital funds they need at critical points in their journey. Financial technology is breaking down barriers to financial services and delivering value to consumers, small businesses, and the economy. Financial technology or “fintech” innovations use technology to transform traditional financial services, making them more accessible, lower-cost, and easier to use. Financial regulators have largely complied with what dominant incumbents desire by writing complicated rules to fit existing business models.

Fewer than half of likely voters say the outcome of each of these state propositions is very important to them. Today, 21 percent of likely voters say the outcome of Prop 26 is very important, 31 percent say the outcome of Prop 27 is very important, and 42 percent say the outcome of Prop 30 is very important. The shares saying the outcomes are very important to them have remained similar to a month ago for Prop 27 (29%) and Prop 30 (42%).
We analyze the results of those who live in competitive house districts as determined by the Cook Political Report’s 2022 House Race Ratings updated September 1, 2022. These districts are 3, 9, 13, 22, 27, 40, 41, 45, 47, and 49; a map of California’s congressional districts can be found here. This map highlights the five geographic regions for which we present results; these regions account for approximately 90 percent of the state population. As Californians prepare to vote in the upcoming midterm election, fewer than half of adults and likely voters are satisfied with the way democracy is working in the United States—and few are very satisfied.

Department of Agriculture as a requirement of the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act , Section 9002. Biobased products are commercial or industrial products that are composed in whole, or in significant part, of biological products, renewable agricultural materials , or forestry materials. Federal procurement agencies must establish a procurement preference for buying biobased products designated by the USDA.
Strong majorities across partisan groups feel negatively, but Republicans and independents are much more likely than Democrats to say the economy is in poor shape. Solid majorities across the state’s major regions as well as all demographic groups say the economy is in not so good or poor shape. In a recent ABC News/Washington Post poll, 24 percent (3% excellent, 21% good) of adults nationwide felt positively about the US economy, while 74 percent (36% not so good, 38% poor) expressed negative views. California voters have now received their mail ballots, and the November 8 general election has entered its final stage. The 2022 midterm election also features a closely divided Congress, with the likelihood that a few races in California may determine which party controls the US House. By bypassing the state’s general fund and the voter-approved Prop 98 education funding guarantees, Prop 30 sets a dangerous precedent for big corporations to set up their own taxpayer-funded handout.
Cell phone interviews were conducted using a computer-generated random sample of cell phone numbers. Additionally, we utilized a registration-based sample of cell phone numbers for adults who are registered to vote in California. All cell phone numbers with California area codes were eligible for selection. After a cell phone user was reached, the interviewer verified that this person was age 18 or older, a resident of California, and in a safe place to continue the survey (e.g., not driving).
We present results for five geographic regions, accounting for approximately 90 percent of the state population. “Central Valley” includes Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Fresno, Glenn, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Shasta, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tehama, Tulare, Yolo, and Yuba Counties. “San Francisco Bay Area” includes Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma Counties.
Further information on the regulatory background of CPGs and the RMANs is on the regulatory background page. CPG continues the effort to promote the use of materials recovered from the municipal solid waste stream. Buying products made with recovered materials ensures that the materials collected in recycling programs will be used again in the manufacture of new products. We see the benefits of open finance first hand at Plaid, as we support thousands of companies, from the biggest fintechs, to startups, to large and small banks. All are building products that depend on one thing - consumers' ability to securely share their data to use different services.

Since then, the CFPB has taken action to constrain “pay-to-pay” fees, and has announced a rulemaking proceeding on credit card late fees. In the last year, the CFPB has also published several research reports on overdraft fees and an analysis of college banking products. Overdraft and depositor fees likely violate the Consumer Financial Protection Act prohibition on unfair practices when consumers cannot reasonably avoid them. Today’s Consumer Financial Protection Circular on surprise overdraft fees and the CFPB’s compliance bulletin on surprise depositor fees lay out when a financial institution’s back-end penalties likely break the law. Vote no on funneling state income tax revenue away from schools and other essential services infrastructure to a single corporation.
Prop 30’s solution undermines funding for public education, health care, seniors, and other essential services while forcing taxpayers to pick up the tab for large corporations. The CPG Product Supplier Directory includes manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers for each product so you can use it to search for specific companies and products. When investors are “here today, gone tomorrow,” residents face an uncertain future. But when residents know new businesses are “here today, here to stay,” they can plan for the growth of their communities, provide a stable future for their families, and ultimately become homeowners. Other factors to consider with custom home cost have to do with the area of the country you are building. Some areas, like northern estate properties, ocean front beach homes or rural home sites may have additional cost factors.
